RESOURCES

These are the common resources I use in my practice. It has been time consuming linking these all, so it will take a little time for me to continue this process. Hope you find these helpful!

HANDOUTS

FEELING WHEEL

Every therapist loves a good feeling wheel! This is a really common one that was originally created by Dr. Gloria Wilcox and has been adapted by about one million people. This one is a download from the Calm App.

CODEPENDENCY CHARACTERISTICS AND PATTERNS

This handout used to be on the Codependent Anonymous website. It's one of my faves because it talks about he solution. If you aren't versed with 12-step lingo it might seem a little strange, but take what you need and leave the rest!

PODCASTS

THE HAPPINESS LAB

This is hosted by Dr. Laurie Santos, a Yale professor who studies the science of happiness. The first season is based off a course she teaches at Yale (the most popular class at Yale) and is great to familiarize yourself with the recent scientific research.

UNLOCKING US

This podcast is hosted by Brene Brown. She does a great job covering a variety of topics that come back to overall wellness for the individual and communities.

BOOKS

THE WHOLE BRAIN CHILD

This is a great read for anybody raising kids. Dan Siegel does a great job discussing how the brain develops, and how this informs parenting decisions.

THE BODY KEEPS THE SCORE

Written by Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, the leading researcher in healing trauma. A must read if you or someone you love has experienced trauma in their lifetime.

UNTAMED

Glennon Doyle talks all thinks feminism physically, mentally, spiritually, politically. I had a hard time taking her opening expert seriously, but the stories that followed were wonderful.
